Responsibilities

  • Deal Sourcing: Actively source and identify potential investment opportunities. Research industry sectors, attend industry events, build networks, and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, founders, and other stakeholders to generate a robust deal flow. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and market dynamics.
  • Due Diligence: Lead the due diligence process for potential investments. Conduct in-depth analysis of target companies, including financial performance, market positioning, competitive landscape, technology assessment, and intellectual property evaluation. Assess risks, opportunities, and potential returns associated with the investment.
  • Financial Modeling and Analysis: Perform financial modeling and analysis to assess the financial viability and growth potential of target companies. Analyze financial statements, historical and projected financial data, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Assess valuation methodologies, return on investment, and financial structuring of deals.
  • Investment Evaluation and Decision-making: Play a key role in evaluating investment opportunities and making recommendations to the investment team and partners. Prepare investment memos, investment theses, and presentations summarizing their findings, insights, and recommendations. Participate in investment committee meetings and contribute to the decision-making process.
  • Deal Structuring and Negotiation: Involved in structuring investment deals and negotiating terms with entrepreneurs and founders. Work closely with legal teams to draft and review legal documents, term sheets, and investment agreements. Aim to strike a balance between the interests of the firm and the target company.
  • Portfolio Management: Responsible for monitoring and managing the firm’s portfolio of investments. Track the performance of portfolio companies, analyze financial and operational metrics, and identify opportunities for value creation. Collaborate with portfolio company management teams and provide strategic guidance and operational support.
  • Industry Research and Networking: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies relevant to the firm’s investment focus. Conduct market research, attend conferences, and engage with industry experts to gain insights and identify investment opportunities.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, founders, industry professionals, and other stakeholders. Engage in ongoing communication, build networks, and participate in events to foster relationships and source potential deals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years in the VC sector.
  • CFA, undergraduate in Finance, Investment, Engineering, or related field.
